How do I save an advert of a room or member that I like?
If you find an advert that you would like to save to your favourites, all you have to do is click "Add to Favourites" from the search results page or from their advert page.
Their profile will then be stored and can be accessed using the navigation on the right hand side.
How do I add a picture to my profile?
Once you have registered with the website, you can upload pictures to your advert by going into Edit Profile and clicking on the Upload / Edit Pictures button.
The picture you upload must be in .GIF, .JPEG or .PNG format and no bigger than 10MB.
How do I add a video to my profile?
Once you have registered with the website, you can upload videos to your advert by going into Edit Profile and clicking on the Upload / Edit Pictures button and are given an option to add a video.
The video you upload must be in .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, .MPG or .MPEG4 format and no bigger than 2GB or 10 minutes in length.
How can I make sure I get the best match?
In order to get a match nearest to what you want, please enter as many details as you can when registering, being as specific as possible.
If your search is returning no matches, then start again changing some of the fields to “Not Important”.
How many advertisements can I have running?
The number of advertisements allowed for both Basic and Premium Members is unlimited, but obviously it is better to focus your efforts into having one good profile than having a number of half hearted attempts.
How can I change the information in my advert?
You can manage all of your adverts from the "my account" menu, from this menu you can select to edit your rooms for rent and your room wanted adverts.
How can I redefine my search criteria?
On your search results page, you will see on the left hand side a number of criteria which can adjusted and refined. If you change your search criteria and click Update Search, this will refresh your search results. These changes will not be saved to your advert, if you want to make any permanent changes we recommend you update your advert instead.
Why can I not see any results on the interactive map?
If you are unable to see any search results on the interactive map, all you have to do is zoom in and this should make it possible for you to see the results.
What is a short URL?
The short URL which you see at the top of someone’s advert is a shortened version of the website address which you see in your address bar. The purpose of this is so that you can copy and paste a short link as opposed to a long one, but will redirect to exactly the same page.
How do I contact another member?
Making contact with another member is very easy to do. On their advert, you should see a Send Message button. This will open a message box where you can select the subject from our predefined list and write your message to the person.
Do I have to be a Premium Member to send and / or receive messages?
No. Basic Members can send or receive messages, but only with Premium Members.
As a Basic Member, if you receive a message from another Basic Member, you will be notified of this and be given the option to upgrade.
Someone has contacted me but I cannot read their message, why?
If you are a Basic Member you can only read messages from Premium Members. In order to read a message from a Basic Member you will need to upgrade your membership.
How will I know when I have a new message?
After logging in, the right menu will display a message saying "1 New Message.” Clicking on this link with then take you into the Message Centre.
In addition, we will send you emails when you get new messages.
Will I Receive notifications by email of new matches?
Yes. When we match a new profile to what you are looking for, we will send you a daily email telling you of these.
